No more excuses, you can write from anywhere!

write from anywhere

You can do it in the car. You can do it at the gym. You can do it on a plane. You can do it at the beach.

Writing content – you can do it anywhere.

But I hear so many reasons {ahem, excuses} as to why people can’t do it.

  • I’m too busy
  • It’s too time-consuming
  • It doesn’t work
  • I don’t know what to write about
  • It’s too hard
  • I can’t write

I’ve heard them all. So today I am saying …

NO MORE EXCUSES!

If you want to make your online presence and profile work for you – you need to do something about it.

Posting once a month is not going to help you or your followers.

Not wanting to put calls to action on your posts because it might be seen as salesy is not going to get you what you want – more clients.

So let’s make a pact here, right now, that we will both stop the excuses as to why we can’t do something (myself included! Oh, don’t you worry, I make plenty of them, especially if I don’t want to do something!).

Content writing and creation is easy when you have help, get someone else to do it for you, have a strategy, know what you want to write about, love writing or are willing to learn to improve your skills to get the job done!

And you really can do it anywhere – that’s the beauty. That’s why so many people are living dream, travelling the country or globe and running their businesses. Content and sharing it allows you to do this!

I once wrote a post at the gym while doing a workout in between sets.

I wrote my content for the past few weeks in the car as Raf (my husband) drove through Central Queensland. Well, I did have some spare time on my hands and no internet.

And plenty of busy business owners do it in other places too – on the train, in the car before they head into the office, while watching Netflix or waiting in line at the supermarket.

So there really are no excuses! You can write anytime, anywhere.

But you need to make the time and commit.

HOT TIP: If you need time to sit down and write, schedule it into your calendar on a regularly basis (weekly) and just commit to it. If you have 5 mins while you’re in line, get off facebook and write some social posts instead.

If you “don’t have time” – make time or outsource the task. Your business will thank you, your future self with thank you and your business besties will thank you – because content is here to stay and you need to be creating it!

NO MORE PERFECTION

And the best thing is that you can leave perfection at the door!

This is a such a massive issue with businesses online … the need to be seen as perfect or always getting it right.

God forbid if you make a typo or write something another person doesn’t agree with.

Well, I say, W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R!

And I hope you do too. Businesses are gaining more followers and getting more interaction for being less than perfect, sharing their mistakes and being vulnerable.

Sometimes your content is going to ROCK OUT and sometimes you’re just not going to get it together!

But you know what – in the scheme of things, it doesn’t matter – because you will keep committing to content and keep practicing so you get better and better!

It’s all about focus and re-focusing.

So focus on what is working and do more of that.
