Content. It is the lifeblood of business and blogging is still where it’s at when it comes to being noticed online.

Blogging for business is gaining momentum in the popularity stakes again because it has incredible SEO and sales benefits.

Still you may be wondering if it’s worth the time and energy; it is. Business owners who actively blog (that is, blog regularly and consistently, at least once a week) receive more leads than those who don’t – and all business owners want more leads!

So if you aren’t sold yet on how awesome blogging is for your business, let me share with you the 3 Bs of blogging and why you as a business owner need to write content, especially a blog, ASAP.

  1. Basic marketing

Blogging is one of the most basic ways to market your business and is easy once you know how to turn that content into cash.

Creating blog content that is useful and helpful is seen as being valuable by your audience.

One of the biggest blogging tips I can give you is to simply put a call to action on every blog post, one that leads people to sign up to a free product or a product or service they would pay for. This will help grow your list and attract more paying customers.

  1. Boost your profile

Blogging and creating written content allows you to become a published author as soon as you hit the “publish” button. When you are producing content such as blogs you become more credible as an expert and go-to person, and people will naturally be drawn to you because of the knowledge and information you share.

When you put that out to the masses through promotion and guest blogging you open up your reach to potentially to go out to tens or even hundreds of thousands more people.

TIP: Start guest blogging and promoting your blogs to increase awareness of your business and to make your business appear bigger so you can compete with larger companies.

  1. Business, lots of business!

Blogging is an effective and efficient way to grow your business, its online presence and also the amount of traffic that comes to your site.

In fact, according to Demand Gen Report, 47 per cent of buyers will view 3-5 pieces of content before talking with you or your sales team.

If you are putting out content regularly, in the form of a blog, and you’re coming up in search, more eyes will be reading your content, and spending time getting to know you and how you can help them, increasing the chances of more inquiries and sales.

Blogging is one of the most trusted forms of content marketing, not only for the effects it has on your business growth but also the impact it has on your readers.

Have an impact on those around through your words and see the difference a blog will make to your business and your life.
