“Everything
must be made as simple as possible. But not simpler.”
― Albert Einstein
Amen, to that Albert! Guys, first thing’s first: there’s a Part 1 to this content creation blog and you can read it here.
It was so well received that I decided to give you some of the bits and
pieces that we left on the editing room floor – as we say in the media!
Anyway, here are a couple of extra content creation apps I use that really help me run my business and do things with ease, calm, and flow.
Zoom
Zoom is our tool of choice for webinars and for one-on-ones with
clients.
I like it, and it works for me. I have tried Go To Webinar and Webinar
Jam, but what’s nice is Zoom is affordable and easy to set up.
I also like it because it’s personal, which is what communication should
be about.
Access Ally
What platform do you run your courses
on?
Our courses are built using Access Ally and are linked to Ontraport. I
am always asked this question!
I looked at heaps of different platforms and I chose to go with Access Ally because it’s a WordPress website-based and I have complete control over it, like the way it looks and the way it feels, as well as control over branding and design. #controlfreak
Blog2Social
I use this paid app to shoot my blog out to different platforms and online publishing groups with a staggered approach. It costs about $150AU a year and it’s awesome. I love it. It’s very easy to use and is a strategic content creation approach to getting more content out there where people will read it.
Videos
I use my iPhone and a new Sony camera with new Yongnuo lights (they are perfectly
compact so they can easily come with me when I travel!). I also use QuickTime
Player to do screen share and other types of videos.
These are really big videos, which means we have to use Handbrake to condense them and upload to YouTube. I then save them on a Toshiba external hard drive.
I like creating videos for my team and clients because it’s quick and easy to show someone the “how”.
Writing
I use my own writing templates! I have templates for websites, blog, social, promotions, newsletters, landing page, downloadables and email series. They are available to my clients and also help save them bucketloads of time. Let me know the templates you need!
These save me so much time because I know exactly what to do if I’m having a mind-blank and can’t remember or think. This is also great for when I’m needing inspiration!
